    Collect your number and timing chip. Kit check for waterproof top and trousers, map, compass, whistle and food.

    Under-12s over 2 km and under-16s over 4 km. Parents are welcome to walk up to the first stile.

    No entries on the day after this. Pin your number to the front and keep it visible.

    Course changes, marshal points and the cut-off. Please listen, the line off the crag changes every year.

    Race start

    Up Hagg Crag, round the trig point and back down Sour Gill. Most runners are home inside two and a half hours.

    Anyone not through the checkpoint by 11:30 is walked down by the sweepers. No exceptions.

    Prizes for the first three in every age group, and a jar of honey for the last runner home.

    Volunteers welcome. Tea and cake for anyone who helps carry the gazebos back.
