THE YARD

Fifteen people, most of whom have been here longer than the hoist.

We are not the cheapest yard on the river and we do not try to be. What we are is the one that will ring you when we find something you did not ask us to look at.
Shipwrights, riggers, engineers and one very patient office manager

“They found a soft chainplate during a routine antifoul and rang me before they touched it. That is why I have been here nine years.”

QUESTIONS

The ones we answer most often.

For October and November, by August. Emergency haul-outs we will always try to fit in within 48 hours.

Yes, and many owners do. Hot work and spraying need to be agreed with the yard manager first.

Yes. We will ask for dimensions, keel type and lifting points, and we will want to see a valid insurance certificate.

We stop, photograph it, and ring you with an estimate before we go further. We do not do surprise invoices.
