We turned down more work last year than we took on.
Holloway & Fern has eleven people and takes four commissions a year. That ratio is deliberate: it is the only way each project gets the partner who won it rather than whoever was free.
We are not precious about style. We are extremely precious about light, about how a building meets the ground, and about telling a client early when their budget and their brief do not agree.
