Create Custom Content Types

Custom content types have their own database table allowing for much faster SQL queries.

You can also create relationships between content types (post types too) allowing more complex displaying of information in your templates. 
Example use case - creating a team members content type and a projects content type. With a bi directional relationship you can attach projects to team members and display team members involved in a project on the project template and projects the team member was involved with on the team member template.
